The Secret Garden
Mikayla auditioned for a local play a few months ago and has been committed to regularly attending rehearsals ever since.
Finally, after weeks and weeks, we finally were able to watch the full scale production last night.
Nice job Mikayla!
Here is a short slide show of the undercover pictures I snapped from the second row. Mikayla is in most of the pics, but I also took some of her friends and the other characters.

In The Spotlight
Tanya and I were able to go watch a choir concert put on at Alexia's school today.
Alexia and her fellow fourth graders sang a medley of songs from the 1960's and 1970's. They sang Aquarius, Both Sides Now, Fun Fun Fun, Twist & Shout, Old Time Rock and Roll and Listen To The Music.
Here she is wearing her tye-dyed shirt and headband... like everyone wore in the 1960's.
Video clips were prohibited - in fact, you're darn lucky there are any pictures of her event whatsoever! Shhhh... don't tell her. :)
Mikayla is performing in The Secret Garden for the first time tonight. If you hurry you can still get tickets for the Friday night performance!
Here is a picture from today's newspaper which just happens to have the M & M's in it. Our "M" is on the right, in green, sitting down.
Tanya is currently at the first performance. The whole family will be at the Friday performance and you can expect more pics in a future blog posting.

Amazing Grace and Fireflies
Amazing Grace... crappy video. Sorry that you have to stare at this person's nose for an extended duration.
That was Mikayla and the Mt. Baker Middle School choir singing at the beginning of the April School Board meeting.
Following that traditional performance, I was lucky enough to be invited to the impromptu world premier of The M & M's singing Fireflies.
In the rain.
The mid-performance interruption was when they discovered an unexpected audience in the background.
FWIW, Dog Caper is right around the corner. You may remember that exciting event from last year. Let's pray this year is a little more predictable.
