Circus 2010

Yes, it is often a circus around here.
About once a year, the kids get to go watch a circus.
Sometimes it is the full scale Ringling Bros. circus and sometimes it's a smaller production.

This year, the girls went to meet Kari & the boys and Lisa and the girls in Monroe for a small-scale circus production.

The benefits of a small scale circus are that it's a lot cheaper and you get to sit a lot closer to the action.

The cons of a small scale circus are that you don't really know what acts they will (or more likely, won't) have. Plus, sometimes you bake in the burning sun, get caked in flying dust from the activity in the ring or simply get rained on.

From what I hear, the circus in Monroe this year was a bit lackluster as far as the acts were concerned. No bears. No elephants. No motorcycles riding around upside down in metal cages. Too many drunken-like clowns that weren't too funny. Ya know... the typical small scale circus.

Regardless, it sounds like they had a good time anyway.
